June 2014

The end-of-project meeting of the Quaero program took place on June 19th 2014.

Quaero is a large French-German research and industrial innovation program focusing on the development of technologies for automatic analysis and classification of multimedia and multilingual documents. It ran from 2008 to end of 2013.

LIMSI, RWTH, KIT, and IMMI were among the 32 partners of this program.

During the 5 years of the program, the collaboration between academics, indutrialists and large groups has led to a large diversity of technological innovations, in the field of text processing, translation, audio and speech processing, image and video pro- cessing, data protection as well as search and navigation methods for multimedia and multilingual documents. Internal and international evaluation campaigns have been held annually since the start of Quaero. The core technologies were developed within the Quaero Core Technology Cluster (CTC) project and the Corpus project was in charge of the production of corpus needed for the research.

The end of the program is a key opportunity to highlight the different resources produced during the program : More than 800 publications and 12 corpus made available for the scientific community. A Techno Catalog that lists the 59 core technology modules and the 13 application projects developed within Quaero has also been published.

Details of these resources can be found on the Quaero website, tab "Production scientifique".
