The IMMI adventure ends December 31st, 2015

The IMMI (Institut des Technologies Multilingues & Multimédias de l’Information, Institute for Multilingual & Multimedia Information, Institut für Multilinguale & Multimediale Informationsverarbeitung), a unique collaboration between 3 French and German laboratories among the most advanced at the international level in the field of automatic language processing and multimedia, comes to an end at the end of 2015. This laboratory, initiated within the framework of the Quaero project in late 2007, will have lasted 8 years.

Beyond the achievements, projects and conferences that IMMI created, helped to create or supported, it will remain a human collaboration between high-level scientists and in particular the initiators of the IMMI : Jean-Luc Gauvain, Hermann Ney, Alex Waibel and Joseph Mariani. We thank them for the work accomplished and for the scientific and technological advances made, as well as all those involved in this great adventure, especially Martine Garnier-Rizet, Lynn Barreteau, Gil Francopoulo and Judith Elver.
